SPELLING BEE CONTEST

On September 21st, a Spelling Bee Contest took place at Hermanas Misioneras de la Consolata School. Universidad Libre School was invited and the students showed an excellent performance, because in the 5 stages of the contest, they got the first places. These kind of activities encourage students during their English learning process and also improve their pronunciation and vocabulary acquisition. The following students were given a special recognition:

1st Place: Mauela Palencia, Julián Beltrán, Mateo Murcia, Lina Morato, Valeria Rincón.
2nd Place: Daniel Montenegro, Eileen Maya, Alejandro Circa, Juliette Lizarazo.
3rd Place: Santiago Prieto, Santiago Ibagón.

El día 21 de Septiembre, se llevó a cabo un concurso de deletreo en inglés "Spelling Bee" en el Colegio Hermanas Misioneras de la Consolata. El Colegio de la Universidad Libre fue invitado a este evento y nuestros estudiantes demostraron un excelente desempeño, puesto que en las 5 categorías del concurso ocuparon los primeros puestos. Este tipo de actividades motiva a los estudiantes en el proceso de aprendizaje del inglés, al mismo tiempo que mejora su pronunciación y adquisición de vocabulario. Se les hace un reconocimiento a los siguientes estudiantes:

1er Lugar: Manuela Palencia, Julián Beltrán, Mateo Murcia, Lina Morato y Valeria Rincón.
2do Lugar: Daniel Montenegro, Eileen Maya, Alejandro Circa, Juliette Lizarazo.

SEXTO FORO INTERCOLEGIADO

The objective of the forum is to discuss if students perceive censorship in the current limitless world we live in and how throughout the theory of knowledge we might involve critical thinking to overcome the invisible shackles that tie us up to be and behave the same way

El objetivo del foro es fomentar una discusión entre los estudiantes de cómo perciben la censura en este mundo cuyos límites son cada vez más imperceptibles y más teniendo en cuenta la teoría del conocimiento para involucrar el pensamiento crítico como herramienta necesaria para liberarnos de las ataduras invisibles que nos llevan a pensar y actuar de la misma manera.

XII Torneo Intercolegiado de Ajedrez 2018

El Colegio de la Universidad LIbre invita a todos sus estudiantes a participar en el XII Torneo Intercolegiado de Ajedrez - 2018.

ACTIVIDAD DE INMERSIÓN

The Universidad Libre School is one of six institutions from the locality that are part of the Bilingual Articulation Project (C.U.L. IMMERSION BILINGUAL ARTICULATION PROJECT). On September 6th the school is receiving the students and teachers from these project, in an effort to participate in a ludic and entertaining activities (ENGLISH ROYALE, C.U.L CANDY CHEF, BE A SUPER STAR AND THE BEENEVOLENT BEES) where they share their knowledge in English, while having fun, learning about the language and making new friends.

Gestionando Comunidad

En el marco de la gestión de Proyección a la Comunidad, eje fundamental de nuestro Proyecto Educativo Institucional; presentamos una de las experiencias más maravillosas y enriquecedoras, vividas el día 25 de julio en el Centro de Proyección Social y en la fundación Amigos del Planeta, donde padres, estudiantes y profesores compartimos y disfrutamos de actividades que nos llenaron de emoción, manifestada a través de lágrimas, risas y abrazos.
